“Dr Huw Williams is a Welsh speaker, born and bred in Cardiff. He graduated from Hull York Medical School in 2009 and spent his junior doctor years in Middlesbrough and North Yorkshire. He returned to Cardiff for his GP training (working in Roath/Splott and then Gabalfa) and has been a partner at the surgery since qualifying in 2015. He had a role at Cardiff University where he carried out research into how we can improve healthcare in general and primary care specifically for a number of years. He is now the GP lead for Cardiff South West Primary Care Cluster which attempts to coordinate care for patients across the various services present in the area. He looks after the patients at one of the local nursing homes where he visits every week. He rides his bike to work and asks for that you don’t mistake him for the postman if he attends for a home visit. When not at the surgery, his main interests are his allotment, cricket and the Manic Street Preachers.”
