Medication reviews are changing!

Annual Medication Review

We have made improvements to the way we recall patients for their annual medication reviews. You will now be invited by the practice to make an appointment in the month of your birth. We believe this will assist you in knowing when you are due your next review.

What to expect:

You will receive a text, letter or phone call inviting you to book the appropriate appointments needed to complete your medication review in your month of birth.

If you do not respond to your first invite you will receive a pink-slip attached to your prescription again advising you of the appointments needed for your review.

Please note if you do not book these appointments then we cannot be sure the medications are safe and effective.

A GP will review your test results and will carry out a review of your medication. We will either write to you with the outcome of this review or a telephone call will be arranged if the GP needs to discuss anything with you.

A medication review is to help you get the best from your medication. It is important that regular checks are made to detect any changes in your condition in the hope of preventing complications.

If you feel like you need to speak to a clinician sooner than this, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
